Possible themes for dinner events may include:
Survivor Puerto Rico
As the tribe exits the coaches, they set out on a winding trail through the Rainforest lit with tiki torches. Just as the group passes the picturesque waterfall of the Mameyes River, the trail opens to a rustic village. Natives are stationed at the trail end to offer a glass of “Jungle Juice”. Live Conga music can be heard, as guests enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks surrounded by campfires and tiki torches.
With no dining area in sight, guests enjoy the natural setting of the rainforest. From the hills sur-rounding the reception area come the natives, dancing with their local instruments and carrying fire sticks. They draw the crowd’s attention with their festive rituals and then invite everyone to join them for dinner.
Guests segue through the tunnel to the Tribal Council Base Camp. This dining tent is outlined with blazing buckets of fire. On coconut plates and with coconut utensils, the tribe members dine on deli-cious local and traditional favorites. The Tribal Council Base Camp has cargo netting hung to create a faux ceiling. Live foliage surrounds the dining area, and background music plays from the thatch stage. The tent poles are covered with burlap and tied off with raffia. Black chair covers, burlap lin-ens and black napkins tied with raffia decorate each table. Miniature campfires set the tables aglow as centerpieces.
The tribe can then compete to select a single Survivor through several interactive games or trivia con-tests. Once the Survivor has been named, the group continues to enjoy their evening on the island of tropical paradise by dancing the night away.
Temple of Vision
As guests depart the vehicles they embark on an archaeological expedition to discover the Temple of Vision. They enter the jungle and begin a short walk along a trail lit with over 200 tiki torches. At the end of the trail, they find the much sought after Temple of Vision. As the fire torches burn around the temple and the reception area, a group of Chukka Zulu natives appear. The stage is set to the sounds of a live conga band.
Suddenly, the reception is interrupted by the theme music from the Indiana Jones movies. As the guests follow the direction of a spotlight, they will discover Indiana hidden high atop a tree. He jumps from the tree and zips down onto the front of the temple. Just then, from the front of the temple your VIP appears, dressed in the identical Indiana Jones costume. After a roaring round of applause, the VIP will welcome the group and congratulate them for discovering the lost temple. The group will then follow him through a smoke-filled tunnel, mindful of the skeletons, and will find their seats for dinner.
The dining tent serves as their base camp, complete with cargo netting on the inside of the roof and burlap wrapped tent poles. Skulls with dripping candles are placed on black under lays with animal print napkins. After dinner, they will dance the night away to the sounds of your selected music.
