All-Day Trip to Ponce
Your tour will begin with a panoramic view of the Caribbean coast from El Vigia Hill, towering several hundred feet over the city of Ponce at the point where the central Cordillera starts to rise it was from here that early residents scanned the horizon for pirates. Immediately below this look-out point is Serralls Castle, the baronial estate of Puerto Ricos most powerful rum producing families, who produce Don Q Rum. The city of Ponce prides itself as the home of one of the region's finest art museums, featuring major works by great European masters such as Rubens, Van Dyck, Gainsborough and others. It is also the home of Sir Frederic Leightons Flaming June.
Camuy Caves and Arecibo Observatory
The extensive subterranean cave systems of the park are reported to be the largest in the Western Hemisphere. As you walk through the interior of the cave, passing stalagmites and stalactites, you will experience the eerie illusion of timeless steps into the earth's creation.
After lunch you will then head inland, gradually increasing altitude, until you arrive at the Arecibo Observatory, site of the worlds largest electronic radio telescope, run and operated by Cornell University.
Horseback Riding in Aguadilla
Imagine yourself on a beautiful horse ride along miles of pristine white sandy beaches, tropical forests, and crystal blue waters. Experience the breathtaking, undeveloped region of Western Puerto Rico from the back of one of the gentle, but spirited, Paso Fino horses.
