Wyndham Rio Mar Airport Transfers

The Wyndham Rio Mar operates an airport shuttle service. This service is designed and staffed for individual passenger movements as opposed to group movements and does not allow for exclusive oc-cupancy of vehicles without a surcharge. As a result, the very upscale handling elements required by an incentive or corporate meeting group do need to be added to the basic transfer, and it is precisely this upscale experience that Travel Services offers as an alternative to the hotel’s basic transfer ser-vice at a rate that is extremely competitive.

Please make note when reading the room contract you receive from the Wyndham Rio Mar. It is likely to contain a section obligating you to utilize their shuttle service. The hotel has generally agreed that any contracting party who wishes to strike this clause from the contract may freely do so; their pri-mary concern is definitely in selling hotel rooms, not running a transportation company.

When you contract our services for your airport transfers you have a whole company with an experi-enced dispatch staff, interested in one proposition only and that is giving your group participants the best possible transfer experience, and making the arrival and departure process as simple and inex-pensive as possible for you, our client.

ARRIVALS
Travel Services, Inc. offers exclusive full-service transfers. Your group participants will not share the transfer vehicles with any of the hotel’s regular arrivals. Additional included features include: intelligent English-speaking meet-and-greet by uniformed staff inside the baggage claim area. Our staff members are assigned on a flight-by-flight basis, and are assigned specifically to your group, not to the universe of arrivals slated for the hotel regardless of source of booking. This staff tracks ETA’s and late flights are automatically met. Whenever we encounter a no-show situation or a flight cancel-lation, we automatically go into the airline computer system and determine the protection flight, and automatically meet that substitute flight, whenever it is slated to arrive, providing the information is available. As an added service, we are pleased to provide you with a toll free number into our Opera-tions Department for use by passengers on arrival day who may have suffered a change in flight scheduling that will result in a delayed arrival; in that fashion we can adjust to changes as the day goes on, and ensure full servicing.

We locate your arriving passengers as they enter their respective bag claim area using computer-generated signs. We contract and pay the porters for baggage handling to the waiting trucks or pas-senger vehicles. Any passengers missing luggage are escorted to the lost baggage counter and we ensure that they have a copy of the missing bag report in their hands prior to our transferring them to the hotel. Trucks for luggage are provided at no additional cost whenever the volume on a particular flight or flight combination so warrants.


DEPARTURES
For departure transfers, we are prepared to create personalized departure notices for your group at no additional cost. We recommend departure times in accordance with the volume of passengers per transfer, at all times keeping in mind the traffic flow patterns which can vary widely with the time of day and day of the week.

Trucks are once again used without additional charge, where volume warrants. And not only do we provide dispatch staff at the hotel throughout all group departures, but your passengers are met by our uniformed staff at the curbside drop-off location at the airport, and we have porters standing by with us in order to carry the bags through the Department of Agriculture inspection, and on to the check-in counters.

The hotel’s default transfer does not include this vital extra element of service, you have to ask for it and pay a surcharge for the airport staff, and another surcharge if you wish to include porter’s gratui-ties. There may also be a service fee charged. We do not have mandatory service fee (employee gratuity), and we feel that airport transfers normally justify a driver or staff tip. In addition, we are of-ten able to arrange special check-in positions just for the group on any airline that has high volume usage from that group.

EXCLUSIVITY
The hotel’s normal transfer service renders transportation to any passengers proceeding to the hotel at a given time, be they members of a group or individual travelers on vacation. Passengers are transferred together in the same vehicles on a non-exclusive basis. When transferring with Travel Services, Inc., group participants are given exclusive occupancy of all vehicles. At no time are they intermixed with non-group individuals traveling to Wyndham Rio Mar.
