Horseback Riding In Aguadilla
Imagine yourself on a beautiful horse ride along miles of pristine white sandy beaches, tropical forests, and crystal blue waters. Experience the breathtaking, undeveloped region of Western Puerto Rico from the back of one of the gentle, but spirited, Paso Fino horses at Tropical Trail Rides.
The two hour trail begins at Shacks Beach, famous for its underwater caves, then winds through almond and pine forests. It then leads you to a spectacular beach called Survival where guests are invited to dismount and explore cliff caves or take a swim in the ocean. Once the horses have rested and the riders are ready to continue, the tour returns to the stables passing through more incredible Puerto Rican countryside.
Beginner, intermediate and advanced riders are welcome. Basic lessons in horseback riding and orientation are provided to all guests. Long pants are recommended and you may wear your bathing suit underneath your clothing if you would like to take a dip in the ocean. After your refreshing plunge, we suggest that you sun dry or bring a towel with you.
Additional time can be scheduled either before or after your ride for luncheon at a great new boutique resort located nearby.
Rides are scheduled for 10.00AM and 2:00 PM daily, although inquiries regarding customized rides are welcome.
Tropical Trail Rides can accommodate a maximum of 25 persons per group (though with some arm twisting they suggested maybe as many as 29). There is a 250 pound weight limit for anyone wishing to ride.
The stable is located 1 hour 30 minutes from Dorado, two hours from San Juan.
2006 Costs:
Two hour trail ride is $43.00 per person. Transfers are 46.00 from Dorado, 52.00 from San Juan, and the trip is not recommended from points further east because of lengthy travel time.
