Hyatt Plantation
These courses are not quite as difficult. They are built on coastal plains and are therefore a bit more sheltered. The South course is 7,047 yards and the North is 6,841 yards. The four courses (Dorado Beach and Cerro-mar) are considered among the 25 best that Robert Trent Jones ever created. It was later redesigned by Ray-mond Floyd 2004.
The Sugarcane course will be the tougher of the two courses. Bunkers were designed to be deeper, fairways more narrow, and greens slightly smaller. The back nine is surrounded by new rivers and lakes and offers a much different look, never seen at the old Cerromar courses or the Dorado courses. Players will have an op-portunity for birdies early in the round, but by the 8th hole the course begins to show it's teeth. Par will be a great score on every hole on the back nine. Surrounding the golf course will be the new $5 Million Clubhouse, Plantation villas and the Dorado Beach East homes.

PINEAPPLE
The Pineapple course was designed to be the more resort friendly course. Most bunkers are more shallow, greens larger, and the course is shorter than Sugarcane. The back nine of Pineapple consists of the 4 hotel holes with ocean view and a tough 5-hole stretch culminating with a fantastic 18th hole just below the club-house terrace. This course will still be a championship golf course and extremely difficult from the back tees.
