Shopping Transfers to Old San Juan
Old San Juan, a Spanish colonial city that is more than 500 years old, is a shopper’s delight! In the very heart of the most historic zone, in old restored 17th and 18th century homes are found some of the finest shops and outlets on the island. These include Dooney and Bourke, Coach, Ralph Lau-ren’s Polo Shop, Guess and others.
Interspersed amongst these are fine jewelry stores with very competitive pricing – remember that San Juan is one of the largest cruise ship ports in the world, and the volume the cruise passengers produce tends to keep pricing extremely competitive.
Timing can be whatever you want it to be, and there are plenty of luncheon options in the old city. For groups staying at Hyatt Dorado Beach, part of the transportation used will be the ferry boat across San Juan harbor, which makes this activity from there particularly fun.
Though listed as a shopping transfer, in reality the visitor will find his or herself appreciating the historical beauty of the old city while strolling in and out of the restored buildings which line the cobble stoned streets of this marvelously dynamic old city.
Days of Operation:
• We do not recommend this activity on Sundays, due to high traffic congestion in Old San Juan, and lim-ited shop hours. However, if necessary, can use outer plaza to avoid traffic.
Recommended attire:
• Comfortable clothing & Walking shoes
