Group Lunch Option in Old San Juan

GROUP LUNCH OPTIONS IN OLD SAN JUAN

The participant on a City Tour has a wide variety of lunch options to choose from, including familiar fast food outlets, various cafés and upscale restaurants.

Many groups choose to give their participants cash allowances, which allows the participants to eat at their leisure and choose what sort of dining experience they would like.

However, several planners opt to arrange for lunch at one of our restaurant locations. Following is a list of restaurants with descriptions, as well as some sample menus:

Amadeus
Located at Plaza San José, 106 San Sebastian St. This restaurant features creative gourmet Puerto Rican cui-sine. Check out the caviar and plantain appetizer. Open from 12:00 Tuesday through Sunday.

Café Nispero
A delightful open-air courtyard located in the historic El Convento Hotel, formerly the convent for the San Juan Ca-thedral, across from which it is located. Serving interesting light, traditional cuisine. Open daily.

Hard Rock Café
Combines classic American food, rock n’ roll and memorabilia to create the Hard Rock environment in a restored traditional Spanish building, 253 Recinto Sur. Open 7 days a week, 11:00 am to 2:00 am.

La Mallorquina
One of the oldest in Old San Juan over 100 years old, this restaurant is open to the street and provides a view of the interesting parade of office workers and shoppers traveling up and down the busy side street. Located at 207 San Justo Street. Serves Spanish and Puerto Rican cuisine, Monday through Saturday from 11:30am to 10:00 pm

The Parrot Club
This upbeat, colorful, restaurant features a creative modern Latino cuisine. Located at 363 Fortaleza St. Open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30am to 3:00 pm am brunch Sunday.

El Patio de Sam
Located at Plaza San José, 102 San Sebastian St. A favorite of some of the long-time residents of Old San Juan, even Ponce de Leon’s statue points to it.
