Coco Beach is the only golf course in Puerto Rico that provides you with the opportunity to play 4 different 9 hole courses. The nine of choice are Mountain, Ocean, Lake, and Palm course. These are very exciting differ-ent 9 holes and will test any level of skill. The course was design by PGA tour professional Tim Kite along with Willowbend's Bruce Besse.
This course is truly a must play. The course is carved out of the mountainside with spectacular views. Some fairways are hidden, so you must trust your game and aim at a target. The trick to the golf course is to play it at least twice. Many hidden shots and once you know your targets the course becomes more fun. Make sure you load up on Titlest golf balls prior to your round. The resort is amazing, with all the amenities that you will need. There are both ready to tell you a few hints of the course. Course designed by Arthur Hills.
Golfing in Puerto Rico
KNOWN AS THE “SCOTLAND IN THE SUN”... Puerto Rico has some of the best golf courses anywhere in the Caribbean: they are both beautiful in their set-ting as well as challenging. Balmy weather and the constant trade winds make for the most ideal playing conditions – there is perfect golf weather almost every day of the year. Virtually all of the courses are of championship caliber, created by some of the world’s best golf course designers.
Hyatt Dorado Beach
Consistently rated as one of the world's best golf resort destinations and past host of the World Cup of Golf and Senior Tournament of Champions, the Hyatt Dorado Beach features two courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
These courses are not quite as difficult. They are built on coastal plains and are therefore a bit more sheltered. The South course is 7,047 yards and the North is 6,841 yards. The four courses (Dorado Beach and Cerro-mar) are considered among the 25 best that Robert Trent Jones ever created. It was later redesigned by Raymond Floyd 2004.
These courses are about an hour out of San Juan, in Ro Grande, featuring a challenging Ocean Course designed by Tom & George Fazio. At 6,875 yards, par 72, the course is narrow, with water everywhere, as well as constant winds. The 6,900 yard, par 72, River Course was designed by Greg Norman and both courses remain Puerto Ricos best conditioned.*
