Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel Opened its Doors in November 2009

The first of three new Starwood properties opened this past November in San Juan, making it the first new full-service hotel and casino built in San Juan in more than 10 years. The 503-room property is located adjacent to the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, and is ideal for business and leisure travelers alike.

Their meeting facilities include 35,000 square feet of meeting space and the largest hotel ballroom in the San Juan metropolitan area. Additionally, with the Puerto Rico Convention Center right next door, clients can tap into an additional 580,000 square feet of meeting space. Not one to focus on indoor areas alone, the Sheraton Puerto Rico also offers several open-air balcony verandas, and their 57,000 square-foot sun and pool deck with panoramic views of the San Juan Bay is perfect for outdoor events. In addition to the pool and poolside cabanas for daytime relaxation, guests can also enjoy the spa, or visit the largest casino in Puerto Rico, with a circular bar and entertainment space.

The hotel is also the first and only property in the Caribbean pursuing LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
